Meet Barkley

That's me, Ashley. Founder of Barkley & Co. This was back in the 80’s with a scrunchie, on-trend bangs, and my first dog, Barkley. He left a lasting impression even at such a young age. After losing Barkley much too early, there was nearly a decade before another dog joined our family and I spent much of that time wishing for one. My imaginary friend wasn't an imaginary person. It was a black dog named Midnight, who naturally went on to have puppies.

Looking back, it's pretty obvious Barkley started something. A lifelong love of animals led to fostering dogs, raising animal-loving kids, earning a business degree, and eventually creating Barkley & Co.

Some people find their calling early. Apparently mine arrived on four legs.
